Tokyu Corporation (hereinafter Tokyu), Izukyu Community Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Izukyu Community), and TOKYU HOTELS & RESORTS CO., LTD. (hereinafter TOKYU HOTELS) will change the management structure of "HOTEL IZUKYU" (hereinafter, the hotel), which is owned, managed, and operated by Izukyu Community, effective Thursday, October 1, 2026, transferring ownership and management of the building to Tokyu and operational management to TOKYU HOTELS. Local operations will continue to be handled by Izukyu Community.
Additionally, following the current organizational changes, the hotel will temporarily close for renovation work and is scheduled to reopen in 2028 after a renewal and rebranding.

The Tokyu Group has long been engaged in the development and tourism promotion of the Izu area, mainly along the Izu Kyuko Line. Located right in front of the Shirahama Ohama Beach, which is lively especially in summer, this hotel is an important tourist hub for the Tokyu Group in the Izu area. Since the opening of the Izukyu Community, the Izukyu Group has built detailed relationships with the local community for 58 years, providing "Izu-style hospitality" to our guests. While inheriting the relationships cultivated by the Izukyu Group and meeting the diverse needs of customers, we promote a system that enables the optimal allocation of management resources within the group to provide high-quality products and services.

With this change in ownership, management, and operational structure, we will consolidate operational functions into TOKYU HOTELS that operate SHIMODA TOKYU HOTEL and IZU-IMAIHAMA TOKYU HOTEL in the same Izu area, further strengthening our expertise in hotel management and establishing a stronger sales system by leveraging the TOKYU HOTELS 's sales network both domestically and internationally. Additionally, by implementing renewal and rebranding centered on Tokyu, we aim to provide guests with an even more fulfilling stay than ever before.

Going forward, we will continue to maximize the synergies among group companies to strengthen the hotel and resort business and maximize tourism value in the Izu area, aiming to revitalize the entire Izu area and advance the tourism industry, as promoted by the Tokyu Group.
