HAKATA TOKYU REI HOTEL 's Efforts to Create Sustainable Hotels

"A hotel that is kind to the earth, the city and people"

We have defined three sustainability goals (visions we aspire to) and six key sustainability themes (themes that we will focus on among social issues), and will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through our hotel business, with a deep awareness of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

An eco-friendly hotel

Striving to be a hotel with a minimal burden on the global environment, we contribute to the realization of a decarbonized, circular society through green coin activities, hotel operation using hydrogen energy, and the reduction and recycling of food waste.

A hotel that is friendly to the town

Striving to be a beloved hotel with roots in the community, we contribute to the development of the local area by actively participating in local festivals and events, accommodating those unable to return home in the event of a disaster, and resuming operations as soon as possible.

A friendly hotel

Aiming to provide "comfortable hospitality," we are enhancing our facilities with universal rooms and vegan menus, while also promoting the development of our people, who are the hotel's greatest asset, through creating a comfortable workplace and human resource development.

Green Coin Scheme (involving TOKYU HOTELS)

If you do not use the eligible amenities during your stay, please bring the provided green coins to the front desk to be used as funds for environmental conservation activities. Funds equivalent to the number of coins collected over the year will be donated to the "Kodomonomori" project and Tanbayama Village "Afforestation Activities" through the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation OISCA.

Earth Friendly Stay

Earth Friendly Stay. We ask guests staying multiple nights to cooperate with the "Earth Friendly Stay" initiative. Your room will be cleaned and linen changed every three days during your stay. By minimizing linen changes, we aim to reduce the resources used for cleaning.

Flavored salts "Edible SDGs" 3 types (vegetable salt, kelp salt, fish salt)

Developed by making effective use of food ingredients that would otherwise be discarded. In terms of packaging, we also consider reducing the environmental impact and produce gift boxes using recyclable glass bottles and "R70" marked paper made from recycled paper with a 70% recycled pulp content.

Orangette

This product reuses the orange peels that are generated when squeezing fresh orange juice. We have been working on this since around 2008.

Nespresso joins recycling network

Some rooms are equipped with Nespresso coffee makers, allowing you to enjoy authentic coffee. We participate in Nespresso's aluminum capsule recycling campaign, and used capsules are reused repeatedly.

Pedestrian overpass cleaning

Throughout the year, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, staff from each department and section gather to clean the area from Shibuya Station to the hotel. We work together to ensure that our guests have a pleasant arrival and departure, and that the local community can enjoy a comfortable stay. (※Currently, this activity is suspended.)
Furthermore, we regularly participate in cleaning activities organized by Shibuya Ward, contributing to the beautification of Shibuya Ward together with neighboring companies.

Participation in Shibuya Sakuragaoka "Cherry Blossom Festival"

The Sakuragaoka town, where the hotel is located, is held annually to coincide with the cherry blossom season. The hotel staff is also available to help us every year.

SHIBUYA MUSIC SCRAMBLE - Participating in the Shibuya Music Festival (Image verification required)

Every October, Shibuya hosts a community-based cultural event that aims to carry on the music culture it has cultivated over the years, while ensuring that it remains a sacred place for Tokyo and Japanese entertainment culture in the future. Our hotel is involved in various ways in this event.

Maruyama Geisha Ozashiki Experience

We offer dining and geisha entertainment at the "Cerulean Tower Sukiya" restaurant on the second basement floor of the hotel. Experience traditional Japanese culture through singing, dancing, shamisen, and professional hospitality.

Participated in the Shibuya MICE Association project

The Shibuya MICE Association supports the smooth hosting of business events and MICE in Shibuya, an entertainment city.
TOKYU HOTELS plays a central role as a board member.
