Let's learn together as a parent and child with Mottainai Grandma: "Mottainai!" Cooking

This is an experiential event where parents and children can learn about the importance of "mottainai" through cooking classes, food education courses, and dinner parties. It will be held at TOKYU HOTELS locations over a period of one year from August 2025.
The third event will be held at a venue in FUTAKOTAMAGAWA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU, Tokyo, where you can see the Tama River and Mt. Fuji from a height of 130 meters above the ground.

After attending a food education course on the theme of "taste," participants will enjoy an original course menu created by the hotel's head chef with the theme of "mottainai" (waste not, want not) at the dinner party in the second half of the event.
To commemorate their participation, children will receive an exclusive "Mottainai Grandma" sticker and a certificate of completion.

Published in October 2004, the series will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024, with 17 titles and a total of 1.7 million copies in print.
It was made into an anime in June 2020.

It is loved by children in kindergartens and nursery schools across the country, as well as in countries all over the world, including Korea, China, France, India, and Vietnam.
In the story, when people are doing something wasteful, "Mottainai Grandma" comes and says, "What a waste!", conveying the intention and importance of taking good care of things. This is a story that allows children to learn about "Mottainai" in a fun way.

Cooking class for parents and children to learn about the SDGs [Learn together with parents and children about "Mottainai!" cooking with Mottainai Grandma]

This event will close once capacity is reached.

Children will be required to wear chef's coats. We will ask you for your clothing size when you make a reservation (rental. Sizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis).

Adults please bring an apron

If you have any food allergies, please inform our staff in advance.

Photos and videos taken on the day may be used for our public relations activities.
