Enjoy Matsue's tea ceremony culture and autumn flavors in a blend of Japanese and Western sweets.
Enjoy monthly changing wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) and freshly made Mont Blanc in "Matsue Tea Ceremony Culture Afternoon Tea".

In Matsue City, April 24th, the anniversary of the death of Matsudaira Harusato (Fumai-ko), the seventh lord of the Matsue Domain and also known as a tea master, has been designated as "Tea Ceremony Day," and the 24th of every month is designated as a day to appreciate tea ceremony culture.

In conjunction with "Tea Ceremony Day," we offer an afternoon tea that allows you to experience the tea ceremony culture that thrives in Matsue firsthand.
Along with traditional Japanese sweets and green tea, we will offer autumn flavors such as chestnuts, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, persimmons, and figs, prepared in a variety of Japanese and Western savory and sweet dishes.

Enjoy a relaxing time that will enhance your autumn afternoon.

By finishing the Mont Blanc right in front of you, you can enjoy the unique flavor of a freshly made dessert, and also watch the process of the Mont Blanc being completed.

◆Traditional Japanese sweets that reflect the seasons of Matsue

These traditional Japanese sweets have been cherished alongside Matsue's tea ceremony culture.
For this afternoon tea, we will be offering seasonal wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) that will change monthly.
In October, we will feature wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) from "Saiundo," and in November, from "Saneido," allowing you to enjoy different designs and flavors each month.

◆Enjoy the autumn atmosphere with Japanese savory dishes

The Japanese-style plates feature a colorful array of dishes, including "Iga-guri" (chestnut burr design), "Salmon and sweet potato sushi in the shape of a persimmon," and "Overnight-dried conger eel wrapped in jade green."
Each dish is infused with the essence of autumn, making this a Japanese dish that allows you to enjoy the feeling of the season with your eyes as well.

◆Enjoy the combination of ingredients: Western-style savory dishes

"Pumpkin and sweet potato galette with smoked duck" is a dish that combines the gentle sweetness of vegetables with the savory flavor of smoked duck.
"Figs simmered in white wine with prosciutto" is appealing because of the contrast in flavors created by the sweetness of the figs and the saltiness of the prosciutto.
Enjoy the changing flavors of savory dishes, depending on the combination of ingredients.

◆Transforming autumn flavors into gorgeous sweets

We will be offering a gorgeous dessert plate featuring the flavors of autumn.
The selection of sweets, including "Pumpkin Basque Cheesecake," fig tarts, and sweet potato desserts presented in a basket-like pastry crust, are visually appealing and perfect for taking photos.
