As part of a community collaboration with "Cosmo Planetarium Shibuya" located within the Shibuya Cultural Center Owada,
This event is held every year.
This year, we've prepared fun and engaging programs for children to learn about the history of space and Earth!
After learning about Earth's history by actually touching natural stones, meteorites, and fossils,
Decorate an original cake inspired by planets, together with the hotel's pastry chef!
Perfect for creating summer vacation memories and even for independent research projects! Enjoy a special experience that you and your child can enjoy together.

Content Introduction

① Talk show & making your own fan using paint made from "stones"

We are pleased to invite Ryosuke Watanabe from the Starry Sky Office CUE to lead a fun workshop where you can learn about Earth's history while actually touching precious natural stones, meteorites, and fossils. Using paint made by scraping the stones, you can enjoy the discovery and surprise of wondering "What color will this stone become?" and create your own original fan to preserve what you have learned. At the end of the workshop, you can choose three of your favorites from about 20 types of fossils, minerals, and meteorites to take home as souvenirs.

② Decorate like a pastry chef! Create your own one-of-a-kind planet cake.

The hotel's pastry chefs have prepared a dome-shaped cake with chocolate mousse and fresh strawberries. You can then freely decorate it with colorful whipped cream representing planets, star-shaped cookies, fruit, and space-themed picks to create your own unique "Planet Cake." By wearing a chef's coat while decorating, you can experience what it's like to be a hotel pastry chef. You can enjoy your finished cake on the spot.

About the workshop

Depending on the progress, the schedule may vary slightly.
Due to the workshop and menu specifications, we can only accept reservations for groups of two people: one child and one guardian. There is no option to add more people.
Registration will begin at 12:30 PM, so please arrive with plenty of time to spare.
Planet cakes cannot be taken away. They must be consumed on-site.
For the cake decorating experience, please bring and wear a mask for hygiene reasons.
For same-day cancellations, a 100% cancellation fee will be charged.
Please be aware that we may take photographs and videos on the day of your visit. The photos and videos taken may be used in our hotel's future marketing activities.
