Wedding Ceremony

Have a great start with your loved ones.

Chapel ceremony

The Arc-en-ciel chapel provides a sacred setting for your new beginning.

A pure and serene space based on white, with the gentle warmth of wood. This sacred chapel, named "Rainbow in the Sky," offers a truly memorable experience. Walk step by step down the marble aisle, and exchange vows of eternal love at the altar bathed in soft light… It will be a moment you will never forget.
Surrounded by the applause and smiles of your beloved family and friends who have gathered to celebrate with you, your new beginning starts right here and now.

Civil ceremony / Courtyard wedding

Wedding ceremonies in original Kyoto styles, such as tea ceremony weddings.

KYOTO TOKYU HOTEL Courtyard Civil Ceremony in the popular courtyard where you pledge eternal love while being watched over by everyone. Both traditional and Western attire, both stunningly beautiful, delighting all guests.
We also offer a tea wedding ceremony where you can share Kyoto-style matcha and deepen the bond between the two families.

Shinto wedding ceremony

We also offer tours to places like the granite-floored Shinto hall "Togaden" in the hotel, Shimogamo Shrine, and Matsuo Taisha Shrine.

At the hotel's Shinto wedding hall, "Togaden," wedding ceremonies are held in a traditional and solemn atmosphere, overlooking the World Heritage site of Shimogamo Shrine. The beautiful granite setting beautifully complements the couple's traditional Japanese attire.
At the World Heritage site Shimogamo Shrine, you can hold your wedding ceremony surrounded by the sacred Tadasu no Mori forest and important cultural properties. You can also take beautiful photos in stunning locations before and after the ceremony.
You can also have a wedding ceremony that is uniquely Kyoto-style at Matsuo Taisha, Kyoto's oldest shrine.
We also offer tours of other shrines.

Buddhist wedding ceremony

Choose your wedding venue from Hotel Buddhist Funeral Hall "Hiyun" or Nishi Honganji Temple "Annonden".

"Hiyun," a venue set up under the supervision of Nishi Honganji Temple of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji sect, will be used for the solemn ceremony, which will be conducted with the assistance of a wedding officiant from Nishi Honganji Temple. In addition to the exchange of prayer beads, you can also exchange rings. At Nishi Honganji Temple, a World Heritage Site, after the ceremony in the An'on-den Hall, you can pay your respects at the Miei-do Hall and take photographs at national treasures and important cultural properties.
