Town of choice
Hokkaido ・Higashikawa Town
Higashikawa Town, located almost in the center of the Hokkaido, at the foot of the Daisetsuzan Mountains, is the only "famous water town" in the Hokkaido that does not use water supply and lives only with groundwater. It is known for its high-quality agricultural products, sake brewing, and furniture industries, as well as its cultural initiatives as a "town of photography." It is a hot area where nature, living, and design are in harmony with each other, and in recent years, the number of people wishing to immigrate from Japan and abroad has increased.
