"Celebracion Champagne" is a special event where one champagne house is selected each time, and guests can enjoy champagne and a one-night-only special dinner in a luxurious space with a sparkling night view.
This time, we will explore the appeal of the prestigious Taittinger, which was founded in 1932.
On the day, we will be welcoming Midori Fukunaga Foret, an ambassador for Taittinger, who will introduce the history and characteristics of the Maison, as well as recommended ways to enjoy it.

<Champagne Maison Taittinger>
Founded in 1932, Taittinger is one of the few family-run wine houses to have continued its history through four generations. The first owner, Pierre Taittinger, aimed to create champagne that would pair well with food. Crafted primarily from high-quality Chardonnay, Taittinger's delicate and elegant style earned it the nickname "The Lady of Champagne," and it continues to garner high praise around the world.

Midori Fukunaga-Foray
Influenced by his father, whose hobby led him to dig an underground wine cellar in 1971 and open a wine specialty store, he moved to France at the age of 18. Like his older brother, he studied French and wine at the University of Bordeaux. After returning to Japan, he joined a major wine importing company, where he gained extensive experience as an interpreter support for seminars and dinners when suppliers visited Japan. He then ran a wine specialty store with his father, and was involved in wine import, wholesale, and retail sales. In 2003, he made use of his diverse experience to set up his own wine-related consultancy, PR, and communications company, OFFICE MIDORI, in Tokyo, where he supports many wine and champagne producers, mainly in France. At the same time, in 2013, he was appointed an ambassador for Taittinger, due to his family's close relationship with the Taittinger family, which he has had for around 20 years. Furthermore, from 2024 he will also be in charge of the Japan side of the Ars Nova International Creative Culinary Award (formerly the Taittinger International Culinary Award), which is supported by the Ars Nova Philanthropic Foundation, established with the aim of supporting the arts, and charity dinners. As a close member of the Taittinger family, he works extensively every day to spread the appeal of Taittinger Champagne.
