Maybe they are being raised by customers.

Since I was a university student, I had decided that I wanted to do a job that would make people happy. I decided to join the company because I was interested in this industry because I learned that hotel hiring would start at a company information session on campus, and because I had gone on a family trip to Tokyo Disneyland and stayed at TOKYU HOTEL when I was a child.

Since joining the company, I have gained experience mainly in the banquet department, such as banquet services and banquet offices. Even now, I am happy when the guests who were in charge of the wedding at the time participate in the hotel event every year. I have been in the sales promotion department since 2015 and am engaged in corporate banquet sales. Specifically, it is door-to-door sales, meetings, and various arrangements for banquet inquiries.
Corporate sales not only accept banquets, but also arrange accommodation and meals, so it is necessary to cooperate with the guest room department and the cafeteria department. You must always think about "when" and "what you need", and it is also important to judge "who to ask". Especially in this job, I can't take orders for banquets unless I take the initiative, so I think I've gradually acquired the skills to think and act on my own, although it's necessary.

I'm happiest when my customers are happy.

NAGOYA TOKYU HOTEL has a full range of banquet halls, including the "Versailles room". The banquets I am in charge of are often used by a large number of customers. I am also nervous because many of the people in charge have much more life experience than me. Also, I often feel anxious about what to do if the banquet is missed or the amount of food is wrong.
Especially in the case of a large banquet, you can't handle the customers by yourself, and you can't see them. For this reason, it is also important to communicate well with the captains of the banquet service and not to be rude to the customers. If the banquet is a success and the customer says "thank you", they will be motivated to do their best again. I would like to make efforts so that one day customers will think, "If you want to use a hotel in Nagoya, let's consult with Ueda."

What I would like to say to those who are aiming to become hoteliers is that although many guests visit hotels every day, you may not be able to fully meet their requests at first. However, as you gain experience, you will gradually be able to do so, so I think it is a job where you can feel your own personal growth. Furthermore, I think that once you start thinking about how to make customers happier, you will find the job even more enjoyable.
