TOKYU HOTELS I am in charge of human resources in the Human Resources Strategy Group at the headquarters of Resorts.
I mainly manage attendance and salaries of TOKYU HOTELS nationwide, and I am responsible for creating a comfortable working environment for associates.
What is rewarding about your job?
Just like in service work, I appreciate hearing a word of "thank you" from my associates,
The most rewarding moment for me is when I feel like I'm being relied upon.
How has your experience as a student helped you?
Just like in the service industry, teamwork is essential in this job, so I think the communication skills I learned through group work and internships are coming in handy.
What is your career vision?
In the future, I would like to learn more about hotel management and work hard to become a general manager in the future.
What is the working environment like?
Our parent company, Tokyu Corporation, has a history and track record of over 100 years, and the work environment is well-established, so I feel I can work with peace of mind.
What is the atmosphere like at work?
I imagined the head office to be a strict workplace, but in reality, most people are gentle and it is an environment where you can work with good communication while taking your work seriously.
Is there any memorable episode?
The HR department often serves as a consultation point for associates, and when I was first assigned to the position, I lacked knowledge of labor and was unable to respond effectively, which made me keenly aware of my own inexperience. However, as I gained experience and learned from my seniors, I became able to respond to consultations properly, and associates began to rely on me more, which made me very happy.
