Traditional French sweets that bring good luck during the New Year

This traditional French pastry is made with almond cream inside a flaky pie crust made with plenty of aromatic domestic butter, and is an essential part of New Year celebrations. Enjoy it with your family and friends at your New Year's gatherings.

Galette des rois (French: Galette des rois) is a French pastry eaten on the Christian feast of Epiphany.
In France, at New Year's, family and friends are invited over to cut up sweets, and whoever finds the small ceramic doll called a fève (French: Fève, meaning broad bean) hidden inside is said to have good luck for the year. They are then crowned king or queen of the party and are congratulated by wearing a paper crown.
