Whiskey Details

Taketsuru Pure Malt
Essentials 2026

Focusing on coal-fired distillation, which has been passed down since the beginning of whisky production at the Hokkaido Yoichi Distillery, the founding location. While retaining the delicate drinking sensation characteristic of "Taketsuru Pure Malt," the toasty aroma and deep flavor derived from direct coal distillation stand out even more. Made in 2000, the year the "Taketsuru Pure Malt" brand was founded, it uses some long-aged whiskies from Hokkaido Yoichi Distillery and Sendai Miyagikyo Distillery, offering a gentle barrel aroma full of maturation, harmonious malt sweetness, and peaty richness, resulting in a rich taste and a sweet and slightly bitter aftertaste.

Taketsuru Pure Malt 12 Year Old

It features a robust peaty aroma and a soft, fruity sweetness. The flavor has a well-established maturity, and its low alcoholic bite makes it easy to drink, making it an excellent choice for those new to single malt whisky.

Yoichi Single Malt
Aromatic yeast

This limited-edition product focuses on the diversity of raw materials and the profound depth created by the history of Nikka Whisky's brewing process. By focusing on the various aromas produced by yeast during the fermentation process, a single malt Yoichi was created that boasts a pleasant sweet aroma, with fruity notes of apple and banana subtly layered with a pear-like scent reminiscent of ginjo sake. The unique aroma harmonizes with the sweetness of the malt and the richness of the peat, leaving a pleasant, lingering bittersweet finish like marmalade. Enjoy the unexpected character of Yoichi malt.

Miyagikyo Single Malt
Aromatic yeast

This limited-edition product focuses on the diversity of raw spirits and the profound depth created by the history of Nikka Whisky's unique brewing process. By focusing on the various aromas produced by yeast during the fermentation process, a single malt Miyagikyo was created in which a gentle barrel aroma is layered with a deep fruity aroma reminiscent of ripe apricots, resulting in a rich and pleasant sweet fragrance. The distinctive aroma harmonizes delicately with the soft richness of the malt, and the moderately bitter barrel finish lingers smoothly, accompanied by the deep fruity aroma. Enjoy the unexpected individuality of Miyagikyo malt.
