The popular New Year's Eve countdown concert "Tokyu Sylvester Concert" will be held for the 31st time this year. The second part will be broadcast live on TV Tokyo and BS TV East, and is also familiar as a "specialty program" for New Year's Eve.
The countdown to attention is Ravel's famous song "Bolero", which celebrates the 150th anniversary of his birth. Along with the beautiful melody, it dramatically colors the last moments of 2025.
The conductor is Nodoka Okizawa, a maestro who continues to play an active role with a breakthrough momentum. This is the first time as a woman to conduct the countdown song. The host has expanded his field of activity from drama to stage, and Goro Inagaki, who is also well-versed in classical music, appears for the first time. Guests include Yasuko Otani, one of Japan's leading violinists, who celebrated the 50th anniversary of her debut, Seiya Kamei, an international pianist who won the 5th prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Competition, and Yuya Mizuno, who became the first Asian to win the Prague Spring International Music Competition. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchard Hall Franchise Orchestra, boasts the oldest history and tradition in Japan, and will deliver a spectacular concert.
